Is there a WRONG way to drink water?

It turns out there is!

We shouldn’t chug it… we should sip it. That’s according to Dr. Leonard Smith, a gastrointestinal and vascular surgeon. He says chugging water won't kill you, obviously, but you’ll eliminate it more quickly, which defeats the purpose because it will leave you dehydrated. Instead, Dr. Smith recommends sipping water slowly, two to three ounces at a time, throughout the day. And two or three ounces is not a lot. It’s about as much liquid as in a standard perfume bottle, or the amount you could pour into a standard spice jar. If you drink a lot of water at once, you’ll end up running to the bathroom all the time and it won't keep you steadily hydrated, like sipping.
