Easy and natural tips to help you through cold and flu season

Cold and flu season has arrived! So, here are two surprising things that’ll ease a sore throat:

  • First: Frozen grapes. The cold will numb your throat a bit. And Joan Blake, clinical professor of nursing at Boston University, says grapes are packed with vitamin C, which helps immune cells stay strong.

  • Also, eat shiitake mushrooms. Integrative medicine expert Dr. Chris D’Adamo says they contain molecules called beta-glucans, which have antiviral and anti-bacterial properties. Plus, tons of vitamin D, which is vital for a strong immune system.
